To make our terms and conditions for purchase, delivery and return of the products at dottirnordicdesign.com easier to understand, we refer in the following to dottirnordicdesign.com as the ‘online shop’ and Dottir K/S as ‘Dottir’, ‘we’, ‘our’ or similar terms. The terms and conditions below are referred to as our ‘trade terms’.
Just like when you buy products in an ordinary shop, terms and conditions apply to the purchase, including the Danish Sale of Goods Act. When you buy products from our online shop, in addition to the general rules of law, our trade terms apply which are an agreement between you and Dottir for the purchase of products.
Any relationship between you and Dottir, whatever the cause, as long as the relationship arises from contact with our website, is governed by Danish law.
Order, payment and order confirmation
When you wish to buy one or more products from our online shop, you add the products you want to buy to the virtual shopping cart, and then complete the purchase procedure shown in the online shop. In connection with the purchase procedure, you will be asked to accept our trade terms. Before finally approving your purchase of the selected products that appear in your virtual shopping cart, you can check your order to see the price and the purchase price that we will withdraw from your payment card.
Please note that all prices in the online shop are including VAT but are excluding shipping costs. When you have approved the order and clicked ‘Place order’, you are automatically guided to our terms of payment, which are an integral part of the online shop.
In our online shop, we accept Visa, Visa/Dankort, MasterCard with PayPal as payment acquirer. Your purchase is final only when you have approved payment in the online shop, and within a few minutes you will receive an order confirmation at the e-mail address stated in your order. The amount will be withdrawn from your payment card when the goods are shipped. An amount larger than the amount you approved when making the purchase can never be withdrawn.
When you pay with a payment card, you are always protected against abuse. If you know or suspect that your card has been abused, you can reject payment when you receive your account statement from the bank.
When you buy products from our online shop, the products are delivered by UPS, GLS or another supplier to the address you have stated in connection with the purchase. We deliver as quickly as possible after the conclusion of the purchase agreement and we endeavour to deliver within 1-3 workdays.
Dottir cannot be held responsible for delays by the supplier. If extraordinary situations arise where the products purchased are never received or delivery is significantly delayed, we ship the products again free of charge.
Right of cancellation
You are entitled to cancel your purchase and return your product purchased from our online shop whatever the cause. To cancel a purchase, you must inform us that you want to cancel the purchase not later than 14 days after receiving the products.
As a condition for cancelling a purchase and returning a product, you must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
When you have sent the email to us, you must return the purchased products to us via UPS, GLS or another carrier. You pay the shipping expenses when returning products to us. The products must always be returned properly packaged.

When returning products, the returned products must be in essentially the same condition as when you received the products. In accordance with the Danish Consumer Contracts Act, we may reduce the purchase price that we are obliged to refund to you, if the product has been opened and used. The reduction corresponds to the reduced value of the product.
Remember to enclose the delivery note, order confirmation or invoice when returning products. Please note – we do not receive parcels as cash on delivery (COD).
Refund of purchase price
When you have cancelled a purchase and returned the products, we refund the purchase price, or the reduced purchase price if we are entitled to a reduction. We refund the amount to the payment card you used to make the purchase within 14 days from receipt of the returned product(s).
In accordance with the general provisions of the Danish Sale of Goods Act, we give you 24 months to lodge complaints about goods purchased pertaining to materials and manufacturing defects. This right to complain means that we can repair the product, replace the product, refund your money or grant you a reasonable discount. The right to complain applies only to normal use of the product. The right to complain does not apply to defects, injuries caused by a defective product or wear caused by faulty operation, lack of maintenance, unauthorised repairs or modifications of the product or the like.
